Best West Fabrication is hiring a full-time Shop Hand to join our growing team in Scandia, Kansas. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to learn a trade, this is a great opportunity to get hands-on experience in a busy and supportive shop environment.
No experience required — we’ll train the right person.
As a Shop Hand, you’ll assist with general shop tasks including tool organization, equipment prep, and cleanup. You’ll work alongside skilled fabricators and welders, supporting a wide range of jobs—from in-house repairs to custom fabrication projects. Best West Fabrication is a full-service job shop serving our sister companies (Grandpa’s Best and Bestifor) and a variety of outside clients. We even offer mobile services, so the work stays interesting and varied.
We’re looking for someone dependable, ready to work, and willing to learn. This role is a good fit for someone who enjoys working with their hands and being part of a small, hard-working team in Republic County.
