LCNCK is Hiring Paraprofessionals for 2025-2026 School Year
We’re looking for two dedicated team members to join Pike Valley Schools:

• 1 Paraprofessional at Pike Valley JH/HS
• 1 At-Risk Paraprofessional at Elementary (PK-3rd Grade)

What is a Paraprofessional?

A paraprofessional works alongside teachers to support student learning and classroom management. You’ll be the extra pair of hands that helps make education work for every student.

JH/HS Paraprofessional duties include:

• Working one-on-one with students who need extra help with assignments
• Assisting teachers during lessons by helping distribute materials and monitoring student work
• Supervising students during study halls, lunch periods, and transitions between classes
• Helping students with special needs access the curriculum through modified activities
• Supporting classroom technology and helping students navigate online learning platforms
• Assisting with record keeping and preparing instructional materials

At-Risk Elementary Paraprofessional duties include:

• Providing intensive support to young students who struggle academically or behaviorally with small groups of PK-3rd graders on foundational reading and math skills
• Implementing behavior intervention plans under teacher guidance
• Helping children develop social and emotional skills through structured activities
• Supporting students who come from challenging home situations by providing stability and encouragement
• Assisting with crisis intervention when students become overwhelmed or upset
• Collaborating with teachers, counselors, and families to create supportive learning environments

Both positions offer the chance to make a real difference in students’ lives. You’ll see the moment when a struggling reader finally sounds out a word, or when an anxious child feels safe enough to participate in class.
