Registered Nurse RN

Job Overview
Primary function is to administer skilled nursing care for clients of all ages in their place of residence, coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team, patient/family and referring agency.

Responsibilities for Home Health Nurse (not limited to)

● OASIS/Medicare Admissions
● Participate in planning and implementing care in conjunction with the other services ordered, in accordance with the POC.
● Demonstrate caring and empathy
● Take and track vital signs
● Measure and administer medications as prescribed
● Provide wound care, as needed
● Provide catheter care
● Ensure patient is fed and bathed
● Ensure bedding is clean
● Track and order supplies

Qualifications for Home Health Nurse
● Associate’s degree in nursing, required
● Bachelor’s degree in nursing, preferred
● Ability to pass a background check
● Willingness to work a variety of shifts
● Reliable transportation to the residential setting
● Must feel confident providing nursing care without oversight
● Ability to create rapport with patient and family members
● Excellent communication skills

Licensure: Current Kansas state license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse, current Kansas Drivers License

Experience: Two years experience as a registered nurse in a clinical care setting preferred, home health preferred

Skills: Nursing skills as defined as generally accepted standards of practice Transportation: Reliable transportation. Valid and current auto liability insurance.
