Rocky Pond Christmas display to begin Friday The Rocky Pond Christmas light display at East 12th Street will be open from Nov. 28-Dec. 31 from 6-9 p.m. on Sundays through Thursdays and 6-10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Admission is free, but donations are welcome.

Belleville library to have cookie walk, drawing The Friends of the Belleville Library

Holiday Cookie Walk will be Saturday, Dec. 13, in the library’s meeting room. Participants can fill a box with homemade cookies. The Cookie Walk will begin at 9:00 a.m. and will only last until all the cookies are sold. There will be an iPad drawing at 11. All proceeds will benefit the Belleville Public Library.

Pawnee Indian Museum to have free admission during open house in December

Pawnee Indian Museum State Historic Site will host a holiday open house from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13. Visitors can tour the museum, shop in the store, and have homemade treats provided by the Friends of Pawnee Indian Museum. Admission is free. The site is located at 480 Pawnee Trail, eight miles north of U.S. 36 on K-266 near Republic. For more information, call 785-3612255 or visit kshs.org/pawnee_indian.

Brantford Church to have cantata in Belleville

The Brantford Covenant Church community choir will present a new Christmas cantata titled, “Were You There on That Christmas Night?” on Sunday, Dec. 14 at 6:30 p.m. in the church sanctuary. The church is at the intersection of Bismark and 8th Road. A second performance will be at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 20, at the Central Christian Church in Belleville, 2329 O Street. Admission is free and refreshments will be served. The cantata combines traditional and contemporary Christmas songs with Bible based narration.

Christmas events for First Baptist Church of Belleville

10:30 AM, Sunday, December 21  Christmas Program “Christmas Around the World” 5:00 PM, Wednesday, December 24 Candlelight Christmas Eve Service Wednesday, December 31 New Years Eve at FBC Evening begins at 7:00 PM with a short service followed by games, food and fellowship.  Just before midnight we will close with more reflection and communion. For more information please contact Pastor Bruce and Keli Burfield at 527-2511.
