Saturday, October 17 Republic County Hospital 3rd annual Flying Witch Fun run, 9:30 a.m., Rocky Pond Recreation Area. 5k, 1 mile, or Spooky Sprints. For more information visit the Republic County Hospital Facebook page. _
Saturday October 17 Brown Grand Theater NCK Teens for Christ host nationally recognized speaker Jack Hager who is a former Vietnam veteran, prison inmate and now a long time youth worker. Musical guest is Manhattan recording artist Kalona. For more information about this event call 785 243-1154. _
Saturday October 17 Mankato City Building 39th annual Farmer’s Market and Craft Show. 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., $1 admission ages 12+, lunch will be served. _
Wednesday, October 21 Commodities distribution, at the 4-H Building in Belleville. Belleville clients may pick up 9 am – 12:30 a.m. Items will be beef stew, peas, peanut butter, applesauce (15.5 oz cans J), grapefruit juice, cranberry sauce, diced tomatoes, grape juice and dried cherries. —
Wednesday, October 21 “Book Lover’s Night Out” at the Belleville Public Library from 7-8 p.m. Those attending are welcome to share a book or two they’ve enjoyed with other “Book Lovers.” Drinks and snacks will be provided. _
Thursday, October 22 NCK Health Care Foundation Radiothon, KR-92, Belleville, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tune in that day to learn about the local health care services and make pledges to support the physician recruitment fund. —
Saturday, October 24 Agenda United Methodist Church, Lord’s Acre Bazaar and Soup Supper. Serving 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Silent auction and craft corner. _
Sunday, October 25 Republic United Methodist ChurchHarvest Festival, Republic Community Center, serving 5:30-7:30 p.m. Country store opens at 4:30. _
Sunday, October 25 Cuba Community Hall is housing the 40th Fall Czech Festival. Enjoy Czech food and music from 10:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., including free dance lessons. _
