  • Neighborhood Revitalization Program – 11 new projects approved
    • $2,676,580 added in incremental value
  • Rural Opportunity Zone – Student Loan Repayment Program
    • $43,516.68 back to applicants rather than student loan companies
    • 15 people funded in by Republic Co.
    • 2 sponsored by RCH
  • Dane Hansen Clean-up Grant – $20,000 grant – 87 ton of tires collected countywide and three community projects assisted.
  • E-Community Tax Credits – $24,956.25 added to loan funds and $3,327.50 to marketing funds
  • Small Business Courses taught by LRS Consulting – 14 people attended for free
  • Republic County Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge – 19 students participated from PV and RC
    • 11 teams competed locally – $1,750 in prizes to top six
    • Jentry McGregor was the local champion and automatic state qualifier, Natalie Wise / Halle Hartner qualified as a wild card
    • Natalie Wise / Halle Hartner – 6th at State YEC at FHSU winning $500
  • Jon Schallert Bootcamp Community Reinvention Program  – 6 businesses attended the workshop in Longmont, CO: Belleville Hometown Lumber, Melby’s Homecenter, Dairy Queen, Highbanks Hall of Fame, Foodmart, Feathered Nest
    • 93 people attended the workshop in Belleville November 30th
  • Economic Gardening Program – 1 Business scholarship from NetWork Kansas for Fisher Rocks
  • 23 businesses received assistance with resources for expansion, succession, or start-up
  • 26,082 visits on the website www.republiccountykansas.com in 2017 – 2,173.5 per month
    • Most views were for jobs, housing, commercial property, and business resource pages
    • 60% of traffic was on a mobile device
