Republic County is home to world class hunting, racing , and some of the friendliest communities in the mid-west. The Pawnee Indian Museum, Boyer Museum of Animated Carvings, and Belleville Post Office Mural were featured on the “8 Wonders of Kansas” website hosted by the Kansas Sampler Foundation.

The Annual Highway 36 Treasure Hunt will be held September 18-20th, 2015. This 3 day border-to-border garage & antique sale stretches across Kansas along Highway 36 from Colorado to Missouri.
In May 2012 KWCH Chanel 12 featured Belleville, Kansas in their “One of a Kind Towns” segment. They visited the “Fastest 1/2 Mile Dirt Track in the World” at the Belleville High Banks, the historic Blair Theatre, Boyer Gallery of Animated Carvings, Belleville Motorsports, and the historic Downtown Courthouse Square.
