BELLEVILLE – The Republic County Historical Society and Museum is pleased to announce that Ed Glenn of Belleville has been selected to be the next Curator/Director of the Republic County Historical Society and Museum. He will start on November 25th, 2019.

Ed grew up in the Wayne (KS) area, and is a graduate of Hillcrest High School. Ed went on to study and graduate from Kansas State University and Brigham Young University. He has worked for over 25 years as a Marriage and Family Therapist, in the higher education fields, and as a manager in community mental health settings, along with having his own private practice for many years. He is married to Cheryl Glenn, and they have four children and five grandchildren.

Ed and Cheryl recently returned to Republic County from Kansas City, because of the great people in the area and the opportunities to enjoy the amenities of small-town life.

The Republic County Historical Society and Museum will be hosting a Holiday Open House on Tuesday, December 3rd, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the Museum. No admission will be charged, and everyone is invited to stop in a visit with Ed, tour the museum and exhibits, enjoy light refreshments and hors d’oeuvres, and see Santa!
