Hooking Your Grantmakers Through Your Stories

While grant applications often feel void of the opportunity to share stories given their character counted structure or limited online format, successfully funded grant applications are FULL of meaningful stories that engage reviewers. Carefully crafted and shared stories in grant applications increase the competitiveness of your applications and increases your revenue! In this session, we will look at and analyze examples of successful storytelling in grants for private foundations, state grants and federal grants. We will also dissect and together work to improve grant applications that have not been funded to explore how storytelling could have resulted in a grant award instead of a rejection. Finally, we will look at how you are currently collecting stories in other elements of your fundraising and how to utilize that information in your grant applications.
