Launch & Grow hosted at Kallman Office Suites

The Belleville Telescope –

Economic Development
Republic County Economic Development’s recurring Launch and Grow Events landed at the Kallman Office Suites in Belleville on June 30. Belleville native Ashley Kallman and her husband, Clay Close, East Brunswick, NJ acted on a dream to invest in Belleville by purchasing a former drug store and remodeling the space for 11 co-working offices. Businesses and individuals can rent space for a day, week, month or long-term. The project uncovered many of the original historic features of the building, like the tile mosaic floors. The Belleville Chamber/Main Street program is one of the first tenants, and director Waylon Sheetz said this is the first time in its history that the organization has actually had office space on M ST. The Hudson Room (named after Kallman’s mother’s maiden name) includes space for 50 and can be rented separately for meetings Two upstairs offices that overlook M ST and the Republic County Courthouse are also available. During the Launch and Grow event, participants broke up into groups to discuss services their businesses offer, challenges and opportunities brought on by the pandemic, and to network with other business owners from around the county.
