Housing Incentive Grant- 2023 - present

Republic County Kansas Housing Grant 2023This program can grant up to $25,000 per newly built single-family home.  Developers can request $25,000 plus $5,000 per unit for multi-family complexes. This process must be completed before construction is started and building must start within one month of application approval.  Other restrictions apply. The application process is handled through Republic County banks.  To be considered for this grant, ask the banker of choice or if you need help connecting with a banker, please contact rced@nckcn.com or 785-527-2310.

Five Homes within City of Belleville – Right now if you choose to build a home/housing units within the City of Belleville, the first five units will be eligible for an additional $10,000 from the City incentive. So, this raises the amount to $35,000.  Offer ends when the five housing units are spoken for. If interested in this part of the program, please tell your lender of reference.

$400,000 for the program was made possible by commitments from the Republic County Commission wind farm funds and from reinvesting County CD money.  $200,000 additional dollars were granted for the program by Dane G. Hansen Foundation in September 2023.  Yearly infusions to the program are available until all money is depleted.  The Republic County Commissioners have slated to fund the program at $200,000 a year for the next nine years.

Timeline

Applications will be reviewed, and a response will be provided within 30 days of submission.
