Courtland residents Sam Brown and Carlo Johnson have felt there is a need in this community for a place to go for Sunday noon meal. They are in the process of working with the Senior Center to provide a for profit business on two or three Sundays each month from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
The menu will be basic and with a full meal costing $9.95 and children under twelve for $7.50, tax included. All orders will be full orders.
Profits from the operation will go to the Senior Center for upkeep of the facility.
The plan is to have one choice for the given day, and that it will be a sit down served meal.
Brown has stated that they will need to hire some help to serve the meals, thus creating a small part time job for one or two people. Plans include advertising in The Courtland Journal to inform customers of menus and Sundays the business will be open.
The first Sunday that the new business will be open will be April 5, Easter Sunday.
