2021 Kansas Wage Survey

The Kansas Department of Labor has published the 2021 Kansas Wage Survey which includes updated County Median Wage (CMW) information.  The 2021 Kansas Wage Survey is attached and can also be accessed at klic.dol.ks.gov.  

The median wages increased for most Kansas counties, including the metro counties (Douglas, Johnson, Leavenworth, Sedgwick, Shawnee, and Wyandotte).  The median wages increased in 79 counties and decreased in 26 counties.  Stated another way, the median wages went up in 75% of the counties, and they went down in 25% of the counties.  A CMW comparison is also attached which lists the new (2021) CMWs and the old (2020) CMWs and shows the amount and percentage of increase or decrease. 

In 2021 Republic County’s total occupations listed is 1,500 people with a mean of $20.53 hourly / $42,708 annual and a median of $18.16 hourly / $37,762 annual wage. County wages from 2020 to 2021 saw a 3.77% or a $0.66 increase.
